Working out of our Mahitahi Hauora Whangarei Office, 0.6FTE part time role.

Mahitahi Hauora is a primary health entity underpinned by Te Tiriti o Waitangi, our Kaupapa includes ensuring whanau and communities can achieve self-determined wellbeing, and access to the services they decide they need, to live a long and healthy life.  We work collaboratively with community, primary healthcare providers and key partners to support general practices, Māori health providers and social sector agencies, in achieving better health outcomes for our Tai Tokerau population.

What you’ll Do

You’ll ensure quality improvement initiatives, and methodologies are implemented to improve and support delivery of primary healthcare services, and will be responsible for:

  • Leading quality clinical governance, frameworks and improvement
  • Supporting continuous improvement across programmes
  • Managing complaints, adverse events and clinical risk
  • Overseeing quality compliance and act as Privacy Officer

What you will bring:

  • A current clinical qualification, and post graduate training/experience in quality improvement
  • Experience in healthcare quality roles
  • Experience in health care audit and review
  • Experience in complaint and adverse event management
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and risk management skills
  • Knowledge and application of the Privacy Act and primary care systems
