When you join Mahitahi Hauora you become part of our whānau.
We are all connected by our desire to support Northland’s primary healthcare system to improve the health outcomes of our population.
Our teams are spread across Tai Tokerau and work predominantly out of our offices in Whangārei, Kaitāia and Kerikeri.
We begin each day with an optional Karakia, Himene and Waiata to keep in touch with our colleagues and any pānui – it is a great way to start the day.
Te Tiriti o Waitangi underpins the strong set of values that guide our mahi and how we work with each other. Our people are important to us, they bring a range of experiences, strengths and skills that help us in our Kaupapa. No matter what your role, you are encouraged to speak up and contribute your ideas. At Mahitahi Hauora we encourage and promote inclusivity and our working style supports autonomy and team engagement.
Collaboration between team members and colleagues is important to building and maintaining engagement. Our preference is for our teams to work together in the office, however, when needed, we support working remotely depending on the role and team requirements.
Our teams are based across Tai Tokerau, and some work in general practice. To remain connected we organise two interactive social events during the year to bring people together, one to celebrate Matariki and the other at Christmas time.
There are also many shared lunch events, this could be a fundraiser in support of a charity, supporting mental health awareness, or one of our regular quiz events.
At Mahitahi Hauora we encourage and promote inclusivity. We are a rainbow friendly workplace and are a member organisation of Pride Pledge NZ.
