We are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Team Leader to provide clinical leadership within our busy rural practice.
This role is responsible for supporting high standards of nursing care, leading quality initiatives, and fostering a high-performing, patient-centered team In addition to leading the nursing team, you can still enjoy clinical time on the floor to stay connected to day-to-day patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership, mentorship and direction to the nursing team
- Ensure safe, effective and culturally responsive care is consistently delivered
- Lead quality improvement initiatives and contribute to policy and process development
- Oversee performance, support professional growth and promote top-of-scope practice
- Collaborate effectively with the wider clinical and administrative teams
Skills & Experience Required
- Advance clinical knowledge/skills in primary and acute care preferred
- NZ Registered Nurse with current practising certificate
- Minimum three years’ post-registration experience
- Demonstrated leadership capability (rural or acute care experience desirable)
- Strong interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
- Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement
- Eligibility to work in New Zealand
Position Details
- 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (Flexibility available for the right candidate)
- No night shifts, Sundays or public holidays
- Occasional Saturday morning shifts
