About the role
As a Clinician working within our established and growing primary mental health care model Te Tumu Waiora, you will provide behavioural health services to patients. For two days per week, the position will be situated and will work as an integrated member of Broadway Medical Waipapa practice team and provide immediately accessible, evidence-based brief interventions to individuals and their whanau to assist in improving their emotional and physical health, and overall wellbeing.
The other two days of the working week providing the same services under the Te Tumu Waiora model will be a mixture of either virtual or face to face consultations for patients in other practices across the mid north region.
Services are provided in accordance with the principles of Te Tiriti ō Waitangi, Tikanga and Māori models of health and wellbeing. Services are culturally responsive to the needs of all service users, their whanau and community.

Eligibility for the role.
Ideally, we are seeking someone who is an experienced HIP, however any successful applicant/clinician new to the HIP role will be supported by specialist training.
To be considered for this role you must have:
You must have NZ citizenship or residency, or a current NZ open work visa not tied to an employer to be eligible for this role.
Note: We are not an accredited immigration employer and cannot accept applications who require visa support.
The successful applicant will be required to attend either physical or online training for this role.
An understanding of Tikanga and some ability to speak Te Reo would be an advantage.
