About the Role

This role works predominantly across rangatahi aged 12-24 delivering culturally responsive evidenced based care through brief interventions that support wellbeing and resilience.  The role manages a caseload, provides support to Youth workers, and with related programmes with service delivery being both individual and through group settings.

A key function of this role is to provide clinical leadership to a small team of youth workers with case consultation and monitoring, risk management and guidance and ensuring quality and continuous improvement in service delivery.

Collaborative engagement with providers and key partners is essential to success in this role in working in a multi-service youth environment.

Our ideal Clinician

Our ideal clinician will be excellent in building and maintaining relationships, be a confident communicator in all aspects and comfortable in delivering in group settings along with strong organisational and caseload management capability.  Our clinician will bring to this role significant experience in working with youth, particularly in moderate plus  mental health care.

To be considered you must:

  • Be able to demonstrate your experience in working with youth with moderate plus mental health challenges.
  • Be confident and comfortable in attending and contributing to meetings with internal and external stakeholders
  • Have the qualifications, skills and experience to provide clinical oversight and supervision for our youth workers
  • Have either led or be able to demonstrate the ability to lead a small team
  • Be a registered health professional with a current practicing certificate and full membership with a professional body.
  • Have a relevant post-graduate qualification or be working towards completing
  • Have evidence of youth mental health specialised training and programme delivery
  • Hold a current un-encumbered drivers licence
  • Have training in brief intervention
  • Be able to demonstrate a high level of Communication and IT competency including MS Suite
  • Have experience and confidence in group work delivery
  • Have a understanding of positive youth development
