We are looking for a motivated and organised communications professional, to support us while our existing Communications Officer is on maternity leave. This fixed term position is expected to start towards the end of May 2025, and is for a period of 12 months, 28 hours per week.
About Mahitahi Hauora
A NFP Charitable Trust, Mahitahi Hauora PHE works collaboratively with community, primary healthcare providers and key partners to support general practices, Māori health providers and social sector entities in achieving better health outcomes for our Tai Tokerau population.
As a primary healthcare organisation underpinned by Ti Tiriti o Waitangi our Kaupapa includes ensuring whanau and communities are able to achieve self-determined wellbeing, access to the services they determine they need, and to live a long and healthy life.
The role
Our Communications Officer at Mahitahi Hauora will be creative and innovative in delivering positive engaging and compelling stories that support the awareness of the work we undertake and build on the Mahitahi Hauora brand of supporting self-determined equitable wellbeing for whanau in our communities.
As an excellent writer, you will be responsible for content across a variety of channels, supporting a small amount of programme marketing material and ensuring that both internal and external communications are consistent in messaging, and meet the target audience.
This is a very hands-on, roll your sleeves up role which allows for creativity across multiple programmes i.e.. Adobe Creative suite, Canva etc, and where you can continue to grow existing skills.
This role has a broad range of activity as our sole Communications person, however support in a guidance capacity will also be available over a period of time.
