Finance Manager 0.8-1.0FTE – Whangārei

A NFP Charitable Trust, Mahitahi Hauora PHE works collaboratively with community, primary healthcare providers and key partners to support general practices, Māori health providers and social sector entities in achieving better health outcomes for our Tai Tokerau population.

The role

The Finance Manager role is responsible for financial analysis and insights, driving efficiencies through continuous process improvement, preparing forecasts, budgets, and providing timely financial advice and support to operational managers.  This role will work alongside and support the Financial Operations Manager in ensuring all financial related requirements of the organisation are appropriately managed and will consolidate and coordinate the reporting and presentation of financial data to the Board.  As a member of the senior leadership team, you will contribute to the success of our organisation through building strong relationships with your colleagues, alignment to our values, and be comfortable in engaging with our stakeholders and funders.

Perfectly suited to someone who is an enthusiastic, dedicated and experienced finance/accounting professional who enjoys critical analysis, strategy, continuous process improvement and who has the ability to effectively interpret and present financial data and results. Someone who is a great communicator, a broad picture thinker, and a team player.

To be considered for this role you will need to have:

  • A minimum of 10 years’ senior level accounting experience including strategic financial management
  • 5 years working at a senior level in critical analysis
  • Experience in data interpretation and financial presentation
  • A relevant Bachelors’ degree or equivalent tertiary qualification in Accounting
  • Advanced computer literacy in Microsoft Office 365 suite particularly Excel
  • Accounting software experience, training and knowledge, preferably Xero, Spotlight
  • Dedicated in meeting deadlines with great organisation and time management.
  • A current un-encumbered NZ drivers licence
